My Bucket List
The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien
Every since I was a little boy I have enjoyed learning about
wars. This book was written about a guy
who survived the Vietnam War who later became a father and a writer. The author
describes in detail the important things that the men carried with them as they
walked and walked from one agonizing battle to another.
Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz
I chose to put this book on My Bucket List simply because never
have I read a book written by Dean Koontz. Also it would be interesting to find
out what kind of writer he is, and to see what the slogan on the front of the
book “Every gift has its price” means.
Tree Girl by Ben Mikaelsen
When I first decided I want to read Tree Girl I had no idea
it would be such a sad book. I read this book and from the beginning to the end
of it the story changed from a happy little civilization to a war story. The people
that lived in the beginning of the book and the ones that were still alive in
the end were completely different in the way they acted and how they thought.
The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
Jack The Ripper is back but it seems only one girl is able
to see him, Rory has no idea why she can see him but no one else can. Books
about serial killers and other murders are interesting to read and find out if
they were ever caught or if they are still on the run killing people as they
want.
The Last Little Blue Envelope by Maureen Johnson
Ginny is wondering
all over Europe looking for envelopes her aunt left, but just when she thought
she was done her back pack was stolen with the last envelope inside. Now to
find out what the envelopes were all about I have to read the book, its nothing
but a big mystery waiting to be solved.
When I read the summary for this book it immediately made me
want to read it and discover what were
the secrets of Cryer’s Cross that are so important that the whole town goes
above and beyond to keep hidden. Once
the town is hit with a horrible tragedy one girl Kendall can’t stop digging to
learn the truth.
Ashfall by Mike Mullen
An underlying supper volcano erupts and causes chaos you couldn’t
imagine possible. Once a volcano erupts it is never good in any way, but when
it’s enough it changes the world then that is pretty bad. Alex and Darla must
fight together to achieve a goal not many people could do.
The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff
When you’re the daughter of the Devil and he has no time for
you and your mom has no interest but the only person who she can talk to goes
missing she sets out on Earth to find him. Her task ahead of her gets even harder
once she finds out how complicated the world really is. How will she do it, that’s
why I want to read this book.
Blink & Caution by Tim Wynne Jones
With every page you turn you uncover another mystery in
which you want to solve more and more. When your just two kids in way over your
head what do you do? You try your best to play the game and not get caught, and
stay one step ahead of your pursuers.
